Independent media guides
About Multi Source Media
Independent editorial guidance for choosing what to watch, what to play and what equipment is worth considering.
One place for three kinds of screen entertainment
Multi Source Media is an enthusiast publication about films, television drama and video games. We write for people who enjoy moving between those worlds: a cinema favourite one evening, a long-form series the next, and a game that invites active exploration at the weekend. Bringing the three desks together lets us look at storytelling, performance, design and technology without pretending that every medium works in the same way.
Our guides are intended to make choosing and enjoying screen entertainment less confusing. That can mean setting out what makes a work interesting, explaining who may appreciate it, identifying legitimate UK routes for watching or playing, or describing the practical questions to ask before choosing equipment.
How we approach a subject
We begin with the reader's likely decision. For a film or series, that may be whether its style, themes or format fit the occasion. For a game, it may also involve platform requirements, controls, online features or accessibility information. For hardware and services, compatibility, ongoing cost and the equipment already in the room often matter more than a long feature list.
We separate editorial judgement from product information and publicity. Facts that may change, such as catalogues, prices, specifications and platform support, should be checked against an appropriate current source. Opinion is presented as opinion, not as universal advice. We would rather explain the limits of a recommendation than imply that one title, service or device suits everyone.
Independence, advertising and corrections
Advertising is kept separate from editorial decisions. Display advertising served on the site does not give an advertiser control over the subjects we choose or the conclusions we reach. Our Advertising Disclosure explains the distinction in more detail.
Careful work can still need correction, especially where availability or technical information changes. Readers can send a specific correction with the page address, the passage concerned and supporting information. We assess it against suitable sources and update material when appropriate. The Editorial Policy describes this process.
